Update from KOMO 4 News anchor Dan Lewis:

I talked to Kathi Goertzen this afternoon.

She's home now, recovering from Wednesday's surgery for her brain tumor.

Kathi sounds good, and she told me she's feeling better every day. She still has some pain and discomfort from the operation, but she says the doctors told her they are pleased with how the surgery went. They were able to get even more of the tumor this time than last. (Kathi had surgery in April, too.)

Kathi was up and walking around a little today, and even went outside for a few minutes to enjoy the weather.

The next step for Kathi will be radiation to try to knock out the remaining bit of tumor. That probably won't begin for a couple weeks.

But it was great to talk to Kathi. She's doing well.
