I want to let you know I talked to Kathi Goertzen today.

She's doing well and taking longer walks as she recovers from her fourth surgery for a brain tumor.

Kathi had been having some headaches that she says are getting better every day, and she's in great spirits, with a very strong and positive attitude.

Kathi says her doctors are putting their heads together and considering innovative ways to treat the little bit of tumor they've been unable to remove in her operations.

A decision on that - and possibly radiation treatment - will be made next week.

But for now, Kathi is planning a relaxing weekend with family -- and she's so thankful for all your prayers and concern.

It's still too early to say when Kathi will be back on the air here at KOMO, but we're all eagerly looking forward to that day.
