I'm a general assignments reporter and you can usually watch me on KOMO 4 News from 5am to 7am, and at 11am.

I joined the KOMO news team in October 2010, after reporting for WFTS, the ABC affiliate in Tampa, Florida for three years. Before that, I was Weekend Anchor/Reporter in Amarillo, Texas at the NBC/FOX station (KAMR/KCIT). I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington, with a degree in Broadcast Communications.

I'm originally from Texas - born in the city of Irving and raised in Arlington. I live in Seattle with my husband Kevin and our two pugs - Tiny and Coco Chanel. When I'm not reporting, I might be heading out to try one of the area's many restaurants, going to a movie theater to see the latest release, or reading about the latest fashion trends.

I proudly speak Vietnamese too. My parents fled Vietnam during the Fall of Saigon. On occasion, I try to make some Vietnamese dishes at home, but for the record, it's never as good as my mom's cooking!

Some other facts I like to share are: I'm a former Miss Asian American Texas, and after 10 years as a Girl Scout, I earned the Gold Award, their highest honor. I'm also the youngest and only daughter, among six wonderful brothers. (Plus a dozen nieces and nephews, and counting…)

Despite the big weather change, I love living in beautiful Seattle. I'm crazy about coffee and pho, and I like how I have so many options here!

What I love most about my job is how I get to meet people every day and tell their stories. No two days are ever alike, and I'm usually in a new city each day. For someone who's curious, it's a great being a reporter.
