Marlee Ginter
Marlee Ginter joined KOMO-TV as a reporter in August 2007. Marlee was born in the Philippines, and later moved with her family to the United States. She grew up in New York and later moved to Florida.
She graduated from the University of Florida, and began in television first as an anchor/reporter in Gainesville, FL. She then made her first move out of Florida as an anchor/reporter at WTOC in Savannah, GA. Marlee worked her way to WSPA-TV in Spartanburg, SC where she quickly became known as the reporter holding authorities accountable. The South Carolina Broadcasters Association recognized her as Reporter of the Year for her investigative and daily reports. She came to the Northwest from WISH-TV in Indianapolis, IN. She was the first reporter in Indianapolis who was sent to the Gulf Coast to cover the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, spending more than a week in the area reporting first hand on the damage and cleanup efforts. Her work in Indiana won a Society of Professional Journalists award for best coverage of the environment. Marlee has settled into the Northwest and says “The mountains and the water here leave me speechless! Growing up on the East Coast, I never knew I was missing out on such a beautiful place. Had I known, I would have moved here sooner!” |
