Elisa Jaffe is well-known to viewers in Western Washington. She began her KOMO 4 career in news before taking over the reigns of Northwest Afternoon, the Emmy award-winning daily talk show. In fact, she began the station’s first hour-long morning newscast, “The Morning Express,” in 1989 where she introduced Dept. of Transportation traffic cameras to the market as a result of a news story on the then-new technology.

During her journalism career, she covered two of the biggest stories in the United States - the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing of the Murrah Federal Office Building and the 1994 6.9 magnitude Northridge, California earthquake.

The list of names of the celebrities Jaffe has interviewed reads like a who’s who on newsmakers: President Jimmy Carter, Secretaries of State Madeline Albright and Colin Powell, Tom Cruise, Steven Spielberg, Robert Duvall, Ellen DeGeneres, Bon Jovi, Alex Rodriguez, Tanya Harding and more.

She has reported for Good Morning America, National Public Radio, WATE-TV in Knoxville and KOMU TV in Columbia, Missouri. Her assignments also included co-hosting and serving as executive producer for Northwest Afternoon. Most recently, she's joined our Problem Solvers team.

Jaffe is very active in the Greater Seattle community and often can be seen emceeing and supporting fundraisers for a number of organizations.
