James Sido joined the KOMO Sports Department in July of 2007 as sports reporter/anchor.

Born in St. Louis, raised both there and in Dallas, he is a Midwest native and an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

James graduated from the William Allen White School of Journalism at the University of Kansas and opted to stay in Big 12 Country. He worked at 6News in Lawrence, KS for four years - performing a wide range of duties: news reporter, sports reporter/anchor, play-by-play, and host of a weekly trivia show.

From there, it was on to KAKE in Wichita for a little more than three years. During that time the sports department was honored four times by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters for Best Sports Program - he claims he had very little to do with that. He also hosted KAKE Sports Overtime Live, a live half-hour Sunday sports show.

When he's not working you can usually find James either walking his dog, Meyer, or at a driving range trying to perfect his takeaway.

He is also a member of the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.
