Challah French Toast

• Challah bread
• 6 eggs
• 3 tbs. honey
• 1 cup Whole Milk
• Butter
• Optional cinnamon, vanilla extract, fresh berries

Slice Challah bread (better if it sits out sliced for a few hours or overnight) and set aside.

Mix together the eggs, milk, and honey. (Here’s where you can play with vanilla extract and or cinammon depending on your taste.) Soak the bread in the batter for at least a minute each side.

Butter the griddle. Beware, honey makes the bread brown faster than standard french toast. Once browned, put in the oven for a few minutes to make sure the middle is cooked.

I like mine served with butter, salt, and pepper but I’m often alone on that. Serve with syrup, fresh fruit, powdered sugar or whatever floats your toast.
