Danish Breakfast DelightBy Marlee Ginter
1 c. butter
4 eggs 1/2 tsp. salt 4 c. flour 2 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla 1 qt. pie filling (I used key lime pie filling, but I'm sure cherry, apple or blueberry would be wonderful!) Mix together butter, sugar, and eggs. Gradually add dry ingredients. Spread 3/4 batter in bottom of greased jelly roll pan. Spread pie filling on top, then dab on remaining batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes. Cool and top with glaze. Glaze: 3 tbsp. sugar 3 tbsp. milk 3 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. vanilla Powdered sugar In small saucepan, place top 4 ingredients. Heat thoroughly. Add enough powdered sugar to make thin glaze. Drizzle over top. |
