Chocolate Oatmeal Waffles

1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
3 eggs
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/4 cup chocolate syrup (or 2 tbsp. honey if you don't want chocolate!)
1 c. oats, uncooked
Vegetable spray for waffle iron

Combine flour, baking powder and salt; and milk, eggs, oil and chocolate syrup. Blend well. Stir in oats. Bake on hot waffle iron. Makes 12 (4 inch) waffles.

Syrup: Stir together 1/4 cup chocolate syrup and 1/4 cup maple syrup; serve with waffles.
