I started my broadcast career in 1990.

I love to tell people about how I started radio, because it is right out of the show from the 80’s, "WKRP in Cincinnati". My first radio station was a 1000 watt station that had the transmitter out back. We literally had to power down at night…and back up in the morning. The people I worked with were definitely characters…from the afternoon guy who took his dog everywhere he went -including the air studio to the nail-filing receptionist and the sweet, but ‘distracted’ boss who didn't know that the production guy could be found passed out in the studio.

My career in broadcasting has brought me some truly memorable momnts from flying in the Ameriquest Airship… para-sailing in Mexico… re-creating the Beatles coming to America…sitting in a vat of melted chocolate for charity… learning and perfoming the Tango in 6 days…to snorkling with a giant sea tortoise in Maui…and look forward to even more excitement!

At KOMO, I enjoy anchoring and reporting...its amazing the people you meet when out in the field...

In my personal life, I have two children. An 11-year old girl (who recently talked me into dying her hair blue!) and a 7-year old son (who likes to practice Tae Kwon Do on me). I wake up at o’dark-thirty, and don’t stop moving until I fall into bed sometime after the kids crash! And we have FOUR cats-ACK!

I ride a motorcycle, which I love to jump on every chance I get! And I go to the gym as much as possible, except when recovering from my son’s front kick (see Tae Kwon Do, above).

I have climbed several mountains including Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, Mt. Baker (twice!) and Mt. St. Helens. Now, I just have to figure out how to ride my motorcycle up Rainier… ;-)

I truly enjoy traveling…and showing my kids other cultures. We’ve been to Brazil, Japan, and Norway (and Mexico).
