Sue Romero is from southeast Alaska and graduated from the University of Washington with a Speech Communication degree in 1993.

After college, she wanted to live somewhere new, so she started her radio career doing traffic and news for Metro Traffic in Houston, Texas. But after just one year without the hills, trees and water of the Northwest, she came back to Seattle.

Since then her voice has been heard on nearly every radio station in the city...which could be why people always ask her "Why does your name sound so familiar?"

She took her first job as a news reporter in 1996 for radio station KH2O-AM950 in Tacoma. After that, she worked for KISS106.1....then Oldies 97.3 KBSG....before coming to KOMO 1000 News to be an afternoon News Reporter.

In her off time, she choreographs routines for fitness and bodybuilding competitors. Go figure!
