Brian is a true Seattleite, attending University Heights, John Marshall and Roosevelt H.S. before going to Western Washington University in Bellingham. From there his radio career started at KPUG, and included stops in Boise (KBOI) and Spokane (KJRB/KEZE) before returning home to Seattle in 1987.

In 1993, Brian made the transition from music to news radio working at KIRO, eventually becoming the business editor on the morning show with Bill Yeend. Before joining KOMO, Brian had been programming an Internet broadcast network for local companies, theDial and Loudeye Technologies. Brian has over 25 years of real estate and stock market investment experience.

He's married, living in Seattle with his wife Carol, who is a financial advisor, their chocolate lab and bushy butt cat.
