Bill Yeend is arguably the most recognized news radio voice in the Northwest. For the past 32 years, Bill has been travelling the globe, bringing his stories back to the anticipating ears of the Puget Sound area. Bill has reported from Russia, China, Egypt, Israel, Hong Kong, Argentina, Scotland, Italy and Japan.

He started his broadcast career at KBBX playing music at the all-instrumental station in 1968. In 1970, Bill got the midday and late night talk show gig at KIRO, and later moved to mornings, where he played a major role in winning five Edward R. Murrow awards for Journalistic Excellence.

Most people know that Bill’s favorite hobby is golf. For 8 years, he hosted the local Emmy award winning television golf magazine shows, "The Golf Club" and "Golf Tour Northwest."
