Kristin Hanes is a reporter at KOMO 1000 Newsradio, and also produces the health segment Lifebeat every day, which offers simple tips on how to lead a healthier life.

Kristin graduated from the University of Oregon with degrees in broadcast journalism and Spanish. Her first radio job was in Portland, Oregon, where she won awards from both the Associated Press and the Oregon Association of Broadcasters.

Kristin loves reporting on human interest stories, and entertainment.

During her free time, Kristin likes to play tennis, salsa dance and barbecue at her Bainbridge Island home.
