KOMO Newsradio Sports Anchor/Reporter Mark Aucutt is a 25-year broadcasting veteran. Mark is a Graduate of Washington State University with Degrees in Broadcast Communications and Business Administration. He Graduated from Tyee High School (the same school KOMO 4 TV weatherman Steve Pool attended) in South Seattle before becoming a proud Cougar.

Prior to joining the KOMO Team in 2003, Mark was a minor league baseball play-by-play announcer for nine seasons, with four major league organizations. His favorite stop was five seasons with the Everett Giants and Aquasox, which he still works for during the summers. Mark has been a sports director on both coasts. He has hosted sports talk shows and broadcast play-by-play for college and high school sports for nearly two decades, including current work on Northsound 1380 ESPN Radio in Everett.

Mark is the co-host of the McLendon Hardware Home Improvement Show heard every Saturday morning from 10-11 on KOMO sister station AM 570 KVI. He also serves as a fill-in news anchor on KOMO Newsradio.

Mark's volunteer activities have included Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Children's Hospital, Puget Sound Blood Center and the Humane Society. He likes to spend spare time with his girlfriend (Debbi), family, his two dogs (Martini and Cozmo), deep sea fishing at Westport and playing a variety of sports.
