SEATTLE -- A 21-year-old man went full Mike Tyson on Thursday night, beating his girlfriend and then biting the ear off the Good Samaritan who tried to intervene, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The whole thing started around 10 p.m. when the suspect wandered into a 23-year-old man's fenced yard in the 100 block of 10th Avenue East and started urinating, according to police.
When the suspect's girlfriend came over to tell him to leave the victim's yard, the suspect reportedly attacked her.
According to police, the victim tried to break up the fight by pushing the suspect, and the suspect turned on him, biting off a large portion of his ear.
The victim's roommate came out of their house to see the victim struggling with the suspect, who he said was either drunk or on drugs.
"This guy has my roommate in a choke hold from behind and just takes off a little bit of his ear with his mouth," he said. "And, I was like, 'You don't see that every day.'"
The suspect walked off, and officers found him near Cal Anderson Park, his mouth covered in blood, according to police.
The suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault.
The victim, whose missing ear could not be found, was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
And, if all that wasn't bleak enough, I'll leave you with this chilling sentence from the Seattle Police Department:
"Officers asked the suspect if he swallowed the victim's ear. He would not answer but looked up and smiled."
