Local family asking for help after burglars steal family photos
EVERETT, Wash. -- A local family is hoping a wrong can be made right after heartless thieves stole thousands of their photos and keepsakes from an Everett storage unit.

Felipe Romo said it feels like his family has been victimized twice. Not only did the crooks make off with his belongings, but they also stole the family's precious memories.

The family is in the process of moving and Felipe was keeping some of their belongings in storage.

On Friday, Everett police say the Romo storage unit was burglarized. The thieves stole computers, several gaming consoles and various other electronics, including extra storage devices for Felipe's camera.

Felipe has a passion for photography and has been something of a family historian. He's heartbroken that thousands of photos and videos taken over the last 30 years are now gone.

"This is part of our family," he said. "We feel like somebody died yesterday when we saw this."

Most everything stolen can be replaced, but the family is desperate to get the photos and videos back.

"Just bring me back my pictures. I just need that," Felipe said.

Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call the Everett Police Department.
