Ken Dawson and his family were woken by the sounds of a huge explosion near their home overnight Sunday. When they went outside to check what happened huge flames and heavy smoke could be seen shooting from a lot across the street.
Dawson's wife called 911 while he took these photos of the scene.
Investigators say the fire was caused by a tanker truck that went off the road at I-5 South near 320th Street, and slammed through the freeway sound wall.
The driver of the truck was killed during the crash. Three other victims were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
According to ecology officials, 9,000 gallons of aviation fuel spilled and caught fire. The fire was still burning as of 1:30p.m. Firefighters from multiple agencies are currently on scene.
