We will stay mostly cloudy today with showers at times through Sunday. Highs will hit the mid 40s in our warmest spots.

Christmas Eve is looking good for getting those last minute things done. The showers should taper off with even some nice sunbreaks popping out on Monday.

The chance for some lowland snow on Christmas Day is adding a festive twist to our holiday forecast. Another storm system will push in early Christmas morning. It will be cold enough in some areas to give us some accumulations. The areas we are expecting some snowfall are the Cascade foothills, Kitsap County and southwest Washington. Those areas could see 1 to 3 inches. The hood canal area could see even more. But, most of us will just a see rain or a rain/snow mix for Christmas morning. Even the spots that do get some snow in the morning, will have most of it washed away by rain in the afternoon. Highs on Christmas will be in the low to mid 40s.

For the rest of the week, plan on mostly cloudy skies and a few showers. No strong storm systems are expected into the weekend.
