Man arrested after allegedly threatening wife with gun

LACEY, Wash. -- Officers arrested an armed man on the Chehalis Western Trail Tuesday after he allegedly spent the morning at his estranged wife's home, threatening her with a gun.

According to the Lacey Police Department, officers were called to a home in the 4400 block of 37th Avenue Southeast shortly after 9:30 a.m. for reports of a 43-year-old man brandishing a handgun and threatening the female resident.

While officers were on their way, the man left the apartment and drove off.

A Lacey Police Department detective found the car parked and empty a short ways away, and the Olympia Police Department and Thurston County Sheriff's Office helped set up a perimeter.

A K-9 search of the nearby Chehalis Western Trail led officers to the armed suspect, according to police.

The man was booked into Thurston County Jail for investigation of domestic violence.
