LAKEWOOD, Wash. -- Police say a Wednesday night bar fight between two pool players ended with one man fighting for his life.

A 47-year-old man was playing pool at the Last Call bar in Lakewood just before 11:30 p.m. when he bumped into another man who was playing pool at a nearby table, according to police.

The man took offense to the bump and punched the victim in the head, knocking him to the ground. Police say the victim hit his head on the floor and was knocked unconscious.

He was taken to the hospital and, as of Thursday night, is listed in critical condition.

Police say the attacker left the bar before officers arrived, and now they're trying to track him down.

He's described an a Native American man in his 30s who stands 5'10" tall and weighs about 220 pounds. Witnesses said the man has a heavy build and has long black hair worn in two braids.

At the time of the assault, he was wearing a long-sleeved white t-shirt and khaki pants.

Police are reviewing surveillance video of the attack and are asking anyone with information about the suspect to call police.
