Woman attacked, robbed at Northgate Mall

SEATTLE -- A woman was attacked and robbed at knifepoint while attempting to make a deposit at the Northgate Mall Bank of America Sunday night, according to the Seattle Police Department.

According to police, after the victim made a deposit at the night deposit box around 7:45 p.m. a man who had been waiting near the box attempted to start a conversation with her.

When the victim ignored him, the man grabbed her deposit bag while holding a knife in his other hand, according to police. The man then reportedly demanded money and threatened to stab the victim.

According to police, the victim struggled with the man, cutting her hand in the process. But, the man was able to run off with the victim's deposit bag and wallet.

Mall security followed the man and told police they saw him get into a black car with another man and drive off.

Officers were unable to find the robber.
