PUYALLUP, Wash. -- Police believe they have arrested all three suspects in the three-day Puyallup vandalism spree that left nearly 80 cars damaged.

According to the Puyallup Police Department, tips and video from residents led officers to a 22-year-old Puyallup woman and a 24-year-old Puyallup man Nov. 15. The third and believed-to-be final suspect, a 19-year-old Puyallup man, was arrested Nov. 20.

All three suspects admitted to participating in the vandalism and were booked into Pierce County Jail for investigation of felony mischief, according to police.

From Nov. 7 to Nov. 9, 79 cars in Puyallup had windows and mirrors smashed.

“Why is someone doing this?” one victim asked at the time. “What do you get out of damaging someone else’s property?”

According to police, the motive, at least for the 19-year-old man, appears to have been simply the thrill of destruction.
