Puget Sound Energy recently announced a Redmond family is one of six finalists to compete in a reality show contest for a shot at winning $5,000 in prize money.

The White family was selected for the contest through their video/photo entry, public vote, and final interview.

The contest, 'Re-Energize by Design', pits each of the six families against one another in a series of room makeover challenges with the goal to "combine elegant home design with energy-efficient products."

Film crews will document the White's work and design ideas for the online show which is scheduled to start in March.

Below is more about the White family, and how PSE says they stack up against the competition:

"The White family of Redmond ("The Ace in the Hole.")
No other team packs a secret punch like the White's. Peggy White shares her home with her son, a professional architect and daughter-in-law, an industrial designer. "
