Suspects arrested in connection with 24-hour kidnapping

LAKE FOREST PARK, Wash. -- Police arrested multiple suspects Sunday in connection with kidnapping a man and keeping him held against his will for more than 24 hours in a Lake Forest Park residence that also contained what appeared to be a small explosive device.

The Lake Forest Park Police Department responded to a call around 7:30 a.m. and found the victim in the 17400 block of Brookside Boulevard. In addition to being kidnapped and held in a nearby residence, the victim also had his car and personal belongings stolen, according to police.

Police searched the residence where the victim had allegedly been held, and the King County Sheriff's Department bomb disposal unit handled the apparent explosive device found inside.

Police found the victim's car and one suspect in Seattle and identified multiple other suspects during the day. According to police, the primary suspects have all been booked into King County Jail for investigation of kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment, in addition to other charges.

The victim was taken to the hospital for medical treatment, and the Lake Forest Park Police Department is continuing to investigate.
