Police: Driver arrested after crashing into pole, injuring 3

SEATTLE --  A driver was arrested and three men were hospitalized Sunday night when their car crashed into a telephone pole in South Seattle, according to the Seattle Police Department.

According to police, the 27-year-old driver and three passengers were heading northbound on Rainier Avenue South in a Chevy Suburban around 9 p.m.

The driver lost control of the Suburban at the intersection of South Willow Street and collided with a pole, according to police.

The driver and one of the passengers were seriously injured, while a second passenger suffered minor injuries. All three were taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

Officers later arrested the driver for investigation of vehicular assault.
