Police: Teen loiterers rob restaurant customer at gunpoint

SEATTLE -- Three teens surrounded a customer in the restroom of a Rainier Valley restaurant June 1 and attempted to rob him at gunpoint, according to the Seattle Police Department.

According to the police report for the incident, the attempted robbery took place shortly before 10:15 p.m. at Othello Wok Teriyaki in the 4200 block of South Othello Street.

The owner of the restaurant told police the customer was not hurt and didn't have anything taken during the incident. She said she didn't report the attempted robbery until two days later because the customer didn't want to be a victim and didn't speak English.

She gave police pictures of the three suspected robbers taken from the restaurant's two security cameras.

She said she could identify the trio, all between the ages of 15 and 18, because they often come into the restaurant and sit without ordering anything.
