Police find blood, no victim after Monday night shooting

SEATTLE -- Officers found blood but no victim after people reported hearing nearly a dozen gunshots Monday night in Rainier Beach.

According to the Seattle Police Department, the shooting took place around 9:30 p.m. in the area of Rainier Avenue South and Seward Park Avenue South.

While several people called 911 to report hearing the gunshots, no one in the neighborhood was able to give officers much information on what happened or where anyone involved in the shooting had gone, according to police.

Officers did find shell casings from at least two types of guns, a damaged vehicle and a trail of blood at the scene.
