Police looking for suspect in pawn shop smash-and-grab

SEATTLE -- The Seattle Police Department is looking for a man suspected of using a hammer to rob a South Seattle pawn shop last Thursday.

According to police, a man wearing a ski mask walked into the pawn shop in the 2800 block of Rainier Avenue South around 4 p.m. and used a hammer to break into a jewelry case.

The man grabbed jewelry and ran after employees yelled at him, according to police.

The man reportedly escaped in a white Chevy sedan being driven by a second man.
