Arsonist sets string of fires in U-District
Someone set fire to this U-District house's porch, as well as starting two other fires, Friday evening, according to the Seattle Police Department.

SEATTLE -- Police are looking for whoever is responsible for setting three fires and trying to set two more Friday evening in the University District.

According to the Seattle Police Department, neighbors put out a porch fire and a second fire on a couch near Northeast 55th Street and Brooklyn Avenue Northeast around 7 p.m.

A third fire was set under a car near Northeast 552nd Street and Brooklyn Avenue. And, officer found two more attempted fires under other cars.

The fires caused at least $10,000 in damage, according to police.
