SEATTLE -- A former University of Washington football player, who also happens to be a detective in the Seattle Police Department, is asking for the public's help to track down an Oregon Duck fan who's wanted for robbery.

Just before 8:30 p.m. last Thursday, police say a man sporting an Oregon Ducks hat walked into Rite Aid on NE 85th Street and 35th Avenue NE and made a beeline for the pharmacy counter.

The Duck fan, who was also wearing a bandana over his face, told the pharmacy clerk he had a gun. The clerk was startled and ran out of the pharmacy, leaving the robber to hop over the counter and grab handfuls of prescription cough syrup.

The robber took off on foot and police weren't able to track him down. But the he was caught on store surveillance video. At the time of the robbery, the man was wearing a red bandana, sun glasses, a black jacket with white stripes, tan cargo pants, gloves, Nike shoes and a green and white University of Oregon cap.

Robbery Detective Mike Magan, a former UW Husky offensive lineman, is investigating the case.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the police.
