WOODINVILLE - Starting later this month, all plans and documents submitted for permitting must be done online as well as on paper. That means any permits that need review, or any document, plan, or report required by the city must be done in a PDF and delivered on a disk or flash drive.
City officials say by the end of the year the entire permitting process will be done electronically. This, according to the city, will reduce permitting time, improve customer service, staff efficiency, and help keep better records.
There are some permits, such as right-of-way permits, fire permits, and tree removal permits that are not included in the new electronic submission requirement.
More about the switch and what is needed can be found online.
The changes kick in March 18.
