Whether you've lived in Seattle all your life or are just getting acquainted with the city, there's a tasty new culinary tour of Pike Place Market you don't want to miss.

"Our signature tour is a two-hour walking food tour through Pike Place Market, and on this tour I take people to about nine to 10 different tasting locations within the market and give people a real flavor of what Washington is famous for on the food front," says Angela Shen, who started the Savor Seattle Food Tours in July.

"I got into this business because I've always had a passion for food. My family's been in restaurant business since I was very young, I was a restaurant brat."

A Chicago transplant, Angela went to work in brand management for Quaker Oats after graduating from college.

"After four years of that, I decided it was time to start a food-related business that allowed me to share my passion for food with other people like myself -- and also in away give back to those food-makers because I understand how difficult that life is."

For someone who knows so much about the Market, many are surprised to learn this 26-year old just moved to Seattle last summer.

"Even though I've only been here for a year, I am there at the market every single day from open to close."

The tour runs daily from 10 to noon - rain or shine. Angela says it'll be the best $39 you'll spend.

"Come out, spend two hours, learn about the market and you'll walk away being an expert and you'll find out that is NOT the original Starbucks location."

The entire tour wraps up with a wine tasting at The Tasting Room.

"They open just for our group, complete with candlelit tables and everything all set up just for us, so it's very intimate and private and special and it's the perfect way to end this food tour of Pike Place Market."

Angela is already planning culinary tours of Belltown, downtown and the International District.

"Food's very powerful. It can change lives and it certainly has changed mine and for me, every single day I get to try to change your life and make a positive impact to your life in a small way -- through food."

Places Angela likes to Go Eat!: Mashiko, Matt's In The Market, Place Pigalle, Perche'no.
