Apple Crisp

Ingredients

10 Granny Smith apples

Zest of 3 limes

Sugar to taste

8 oz. butter

6 oz. brown sugar

4 oz. oatmeal

1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts

Directions

Peel, core and dice apples. Add juice and zest of limes. Saute with a pat of butter. Add in sugar to taste. Cook until apples are soft, about 5-8 minutes. Remove from heat and pat into a round mold.

To make crisp, mix butter, brown sugar, oatmeal and hazelnuts in a bowl. After they are well mixed, spread the mixture out on a cookie sheet.

Toast in oven for a couple of minutes until golden brown. Let cool, then sprinkle over apples. Serve with vanilla ice cream. Serves 8.
