Brown Rice Crispy Treats

Ingredients

Brown Rice Crispy Treats - 4/30/1999

1 tsp. unrefined sesame oil 1 cup brown rice syrup
2 Tbl. almond butter or tahini 2 tsp. vanilla extract
6 cups dry brown rice cereal

Directions

Heat oil in a large pot. Add rice syrup and almond butter. Stir and heat until bubbles form. Turn off heat and add vanilla. Add cereal and mix well. You can also add 1/2 cup peanuts, raisins, chocolate chips or chopped almonds here. Press into a 9x13" pan. With slightly wet hands, press mixture flat. Let set at room temperature. Slice into squares. Serves 12.
