Ingredients

Spicy BBQ Tuna with Mango Salsa - 5/21/1999

6 7 oz. tuna steaks 1/4 cup peanut oil
4 tsp. sweet Thai chili sauce 1/3 cup red cooking wine
1/4 cup coconut milk 1 tsp. powdered ginger
1 diced mango 1/2 chopped cucumber
1/4 cup minced cilantro 1 minced jalapeno pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion 1/4 cup chopped tomato
2 Tbl. white wine vinegar 1 tsp. sugar

Directions

Mix peanut oil, Thai chili sauce, wine, coconut milk and ginger. Marinate tuna in mixture for 1 hour in refrigerator. Turn tuna once in marinade. Grill 3-4 minutes per side until medium rare. Use remaining marinade to baste during cooking. To make salsa, mix mango, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeno pepper, onion, tomato, white wine vinegar and sugar in a bowl. Serve over grilled tuna. Serves 6.
