Police dog finds, then fires discarded handgun
A police dog searching for a handgun not only found the weapon, but managed to fire it with his paw! It's not Ripley's Believe it or Not. This really happened. Liam Martin has the story of the trigger-happy canine.
Seems that this K-9 officer needs some remedial training. The safety rules state "Always keep your paw off the trigger until ready to fire"
Hope the police dog was the registered owner, with a complete background check. Otherwise he's in deep doo-doo.
