A little after 10pm it was dark enough for the aurora to begin to show through breaks in the clouds. The combination with the moonlight was nice, until it clouded completely over and began to rain. As late as 3am I could still see the glow through the clouds in the north.

That looks like a Russian Blue. They are very smart...I know...I'm on my second one...
@SheilaKA Beautiful cat- I have a MainCoon tat I think is smart- when she couldn't fit her head in my kids milk glasses she decided to just dip her paw in and lick the milk off it, of course now we can't leave a glass unattended. LOL
@MomOf2 Sounds like my Sphynx (hairless cat). We can't leave cups of water unattended because he will tip them over and wait for the water to run off the tabletop. He does listen to commands though. Like: No, Get Down, No Cats (Usually said when he wants in the bedroom to snuggle with me), Breakfast and Stay. I have said these  commands using different tones of my voice and he still listens to myself and my daughter however he does not listen to my husband. :D
@PrairieDawn You have a hairless baby and you don't let him snuggle? I would not have the heart to say "no"...
