Dan Lewis, Tim Lewis share anchor desk for first time
SEATTLE-- It’s all in the family at KOMO 4 News now that long-time evening anchor Dan Lewis has been joined by his son Tim Lewis on-air.

Tuesday night the father and son team appeared for the first time in the same newscast.

“Before we start sports tonight I’d like to take a minute to show you this picture of a little guy who’s near and dear to my heart,” said Dan Lewis.

Dan then showed a picture of his son Tim taken 25 years ago.

“Now I am very proud to say here is Tim now,” said Dan as the newscast director took a wide shot of the anchor desk showing Tim sitting in the sports seat.

Tim Lewis was recently hired by KOMO 4 News to anchor weekend sportscasts. Tim worked previously in Yakima, The Tri-cities and in Spokane. Tim was filling in for KOMO 4 Sports Direct Mike Ferreri during the station’s 11:00 p.m. newscast.

“For us believe me this is a dream come true,” said Dan.

“It’s a huge moment and we are so glad you are here Tim,” said co-anchor Mary Nam.

“This is a dream come true like my dad said, this is an awesome moment,” said Tim before launching directly into a story about the Mariners.

Dan Lewis has anchored KOMO 4 News in Seattle since the 80s. Tim Lewis is the youngest of Dan’s three children.
