If he used his training, he would of cut that chute away and went to his reserve. When you open your chute, you are checking for the three S's. Square, Stable, and Steerable. If the chute is missing one of the 3, you cut it away. He was missing 2 of them. He messed up and is trying to blame the drop zone. Chances are, some ambulance chaser lawyer contacted him and encouraged him to pursue action. He is going to fail in court.
