Meet Frank & Louie. Frank & Louie is a two-faced cat. Also know as Janus cats, the special guys usually don't live very long, but this guy has made it to 13.
I'm curious - does this ever occur in other mammals, or just cats? Â I've heard of a couple 2, 3 cats, but never any other animal. Â Anyone know? Â Anyone know why?
@Smartypants Well.......yea......quite a few actually. Cows and sheep mostly but haven't you seen the conjoined twin girls who I think are now in their 20's.
@Cathy Curphy I am aware of Abby & Brittany, but they have 2 separate heads.  This animal has only 1 head but 2 faces - I'm guessing some variation of the conjoined-type issue due to a very early halt to the twinning process - but I've never seen any animal with 1 head but 2 faces except cats.  I was wondering if that particular variation occurred in other animals.
He's got a fantastic owner for sure! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I think he's pretty. He might look different but he can love you just as much as any cat and deserves much in return.Â
He's beautiful! I'm glad he's had such a long and healthy life. I remember when he or another Janus cat was born years ago and I read some downtight cruel comments online by people who had no empathy. They were probably the ones who harassed the disabled kids at school too.
I have heard of two faced, but isn't this taking it to the extreme??????????????

Amazing image. If a single cat gets nine lives, maybe this guy'll live to be 18. What a cool cat!Â
