This was taken a few days ago, but thought I would share them anyway :-)
Well even though we did not get the thunderstorms here where I live, the clouds were still epically cool! Oh, we did have a bit of thunder at around 6 PM on Father's day though :-)
While dad and I were out for our morning walk, we could watch this storm form from a lovely sunrise to very dark and ominous in the matter of 30 minutes.
Pretty cool for little Matthew to get to have his father home for Christmas, but pretty sad for thousands of other military kids who have to spend the holidays without a parent... all too often permanently.
It's past time to end the war in Iraq and the various "actions" elsewhere, bring our servicemen/women home and quit trying to rule the world.
I would like to say good job to all the employees at Cabelas who helped put this on. It was fun to see this take place. I don't think there was a dry eye in the place. My wife escorted him around the store and helped time when he came out. It was truly a privilege to help him and his family.
Pretty cool...
