WSU's Glenn Johnson: Kathi was a fighter right to the end
Kathi Goertzen was a proud alumna of Washington State University's Edward R. Murrow College of Communications.
Professor Glenn Johnson remembered Kathi's positive outlook on life and said she was a fighter right to the end.

Thanks Professor Johnson, as a Cougar (1970) we all feel the loss of Kathi Goertzen a fantastic role model for women. Â She was a great supporter of the YWCA and gave her time to help women in our community. Â AND a great coug supporter, and we know what that means in Seattle..smile. Â I think being a Coug gave her part of her strong dedication to furthering the cause of medical understanding and treatment. Â The fact that she kept working and "going on" and sharing her life with us was remarkable.
