Reaching 21 years old is a milestone many people look forward to. Bob Hirsch met this milestone, but shortly after he passed away from cancer, after battling the disease most of his life.
To celebrate the Hirsch’s memory each year, Georgetown Brewing Company releases Bob’s Brown Ale, a limited edition beer created to raise money for seriously ill children. This Thursday, the brewers will team up with Olson Kundig Architects Storefronts project to host a fundraiser and holiday beer special beginning at 5 p.m.
Georgetown Brewing will donate all of the profits from the event to a charity chosen by Hirsch’s family. This year, his family has chosen to donate to the Ronald McDonald House of Western Washington and Alaska, which had helped Hirsch and his family during very difficult times.
This is a 21 and over event; $15 suggested donation. Check out Storefront’s facebook page for more information.
