The Bachelorette recap: A whole lotta awkward mixed with crazy

SEATTLE -- It didn’t take long to feel the awkwardness of last night’s episode of The Bachelorette. As with each season, as the number of hopefuls starts to dwindle down, emotions run high and the guys become more and more desperate to fight for the bachelorette’s attention. Arie has been a fan favorite this entire season – he’s charming, interesting and seems to have great chemistry with Emily. The actual date was pretty boring – walking around Prague, rubbing old European statues but Arie’s former relationship with Bachelorette producer Cassie Lambert seems to be the real purpose of their date. Let’s be real, if your date is preceded with a special message from Chris Harrison, you know everything isn’t coming up roses! What we saw on TV was pretty boring – just Emily desperately trying to get Arie to tell her about the relationship. Meanwhile, Arie went on and on and on and on about how important it is to be open and honest in a relationship. AWKWARD.
@Alyson_Andrews @komo4 I would have said something if I was him. ;)

The portion of this date that would have actually been interesting to watch would have been the conversation between Arie, Cassie and Emily. Why in the world did they not film their interaction is bizarre. Hello, give us something to talk about! With all the editing that happens on this show, who knows if what we saw between Emily and Cassie was how it actually went down and we will never know. Given all of awkwardness that was the first part of the date, Emily seemingly moved on quickly and was back to kissing Arie like a champ in no time. Arie took that opportunity to thrown down the “I love you” card. WHAT?! A little early to be throwing those words around, don’t you think?
Earliest dropping of the "L bomb" in #thebachelorette history!!!!! #liveonkomo holy moly

The second one-on-one went to some guy named John. Unfortunately, there isn’t much to say because we have hardly seen him all season. He and Emily had an awkward date at the John Lennon Wall where they signed their names and then walked over to a fence of locks where John awkwardly (of course) tried to get his to close. John, you just aren’t going to close this deal.
This episode is very awkward. #thebachelorette #liveonkomo

Moving on to the next awkward/crazy moment – this time with Sean. Over the last couple of weeks, he has been making his way up the rose ceremony ladder with his plaid shirts and beautiful smile but this move has people wondering if he’s just another one of the crazies. After John gets home from his date, Sean decides he has to see Emily. So, naturally he just starts walking around Prague yelling her name? Here’s the amazing part – he finds here in the first few minutes and they make out. What else would you expect from a late night random rendezvous?
RT @komo4: RT @CLDanielle Who is this guy, Rocky Balboa? Addrrriiaaaaaannn!!!!!!! #TheBachelorette

The three-on-one date can pretty much be summed up by recognizing that Chris is crazy and Doug is donezo. Chris doesn’t seem to care that he literally whines all the time – on national television. And what gives, Doug? Everyone in the state of Washington has been trying to like Doug since the beginning. Our hometown guy just wasn’t the right fit for Emily. Next time, it would probably be more advantageous to make a move a little bit sooner… or at all.
@komo4 Chris is whining and Sean is winning #makeithappen!

Hint to Chris: stop saying "I'm going crazy" #liveonkomo

Emily’s last one-on-one date of this trip went to Jef, a guy that she has had crazy chemistry with in the past. You’d think that they’d be going on a boat or up in a helicopter to spread their love to the Czech Republic but no. They went to a marionette shop. Yes, a marionette shop. If that isn’t bad enough, their role play with the marionettes was down right awkward. Maybe that’s how Jef thinks a girl likes to play “house” but come on! You are with the girl you “love”, in Prague and you can probably do whatever you want with her and you choose to have a puppet tell her that you are “a million percent in love” with her.
Ew. Do NOT be the guy who expresses his feelings with puppets #bachelorette #liveonkomo

Yet, somehow Jef is still totally likeable. We were able get the scoop from him last week and you can read all about that here (http://www.komonews.com/living/arts-entertainment/The-scoop-on-Jef-Holm-His-hair-taking-it-slow-with-Emily-and-whats-coming-160306645.html). In the end, Chris used one of his crazyville tactics to stay in the game for one more week so the not-so-memorable John headed for the hills.
Of course she chose Chris. How could you send someone home after that speech? How awkward! #TheBachelorette #liveonkomo
