Yesterday, you may have heard about a new offering from Dunkin' Donuts that seems too good/horrifying to believe: the Glazed Donut Breakfast Sandwich, which is like a regular breakfast sandwich...served between two donuts. But it's neither a hoax, nor a rumor -- it's a real thing, and it's coming to a donut shop near you. Of course, there aren't really Dunkin' Donuts near us, but maybe that's for the best.

The sandwhich, which involves eggs, bacon, and yes, glazed donuts, is coming to participating Dunkin' Donuts stores across the US starting this Friday, according to the DD Facebook page.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), unlike most of the East Coast and the Midwest, where the Dunk is as ubiquitous as Starbucks, Western Washington doesn't have a Dunkin' Donuts, anymore. But sandwiches served between donuts aren't really a new invention; sometimes called the Luther Burger, this has been a kind of decadent holy grail for ages. Look for copycats at West Coast donut shops any day now.
