Bourbon cocktail competition aims to raise funds for cancer research

Six of the city's most creative bartenders will compete in a city-wide bourbon cocktail competition at one of Seattle's most stylish night spots, all for a good cause, of course.

Seattle Met Magazine has teamed up with the Innovators Network at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center to bring you live music, hors d'oeuvres, and libations.

The event, "Stirred, Not Shaken," is aimed at raising awareness, support, and donations to end cancer. The event touts "a photo booth for custom photo print-outs of you and your guests, sample bites from the Hard Rock Cafe's hand-crafted menu, and enjoy live music and entertainment."

Basil Hayden's Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey is also behind the event, providing the spirits for the big competition. Participating bars include: Rob Roy, Brave Horse Tavern, Spur Gastropub, Cicchetti Kitchen and Bar, and The Tin Table.

Assuming good weather, the outdoor terrace at Hard Rock will be open, giving attendee's a fantastic view of the city. The event is from 6pm-9pm Wednesday, April 24 at Hard Rock café in downtown Seattle.
