An event for people with memory loss and their care partners – the Alzheimer’s Café’ – is moving from Mae’s Café to Ampersand Pantry and Café, located at 424 N. 85th St.
The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
This monthly program started in 2011 and is always held in the second Tuesday of the month. The Alzheimer’s Café provides an opportunity to get out at socialize in a safe environment without judgement or expectations.
There will be delicious food including soup, sandwiches or desserts. There will also be a coffee, beer and wine. There is no cost other than the food that is ordered.
Parking is available at the Greenwood Senior Center which is walking distance, in the neighborhood or at the Bank of America lot just west of the café.
The Alzheimer’s Café is a program of the Phinney Neighborhood Association’s Greenwood Senior Center.
