An abundance of white-clad sailors strutting the streets of Seattle could only mean one thing - Seafair Fleet Week.

The annual event officially kicked off yesterday with multiple ships sailing into the Port of Seattle to celebrate this region’s premier summertime festival. Seafair Fleet Week also honors the men and women of the military who proudly and courageously serve the country.

Sailors on board the USS New Orleans (located at Pier 90), USS Bunker Hill  (located at Pier 48) and USS Halsey (located at Pier 66), will be in Seattle until Sunday.

Free public tours will be available during the following times:

USS Bunker Hill and USS Halsey – Aug. 2 –5
Seattle Waterfront piers 48 and 66
Thursday – Saturday 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; Sunday 12:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

USS New Orleans – Aug. 2 - 5
Seattle Waterfront pier 90
Thursday 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. ; Friday - Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Age Requirement: 8 years of age or older
