At the spring media gathering Bill Bavasi said that he may have to go forward with deals B and C even if A had not been wrapped up. That has happened as the Mariners have agreed to terms on a one year contract with outfielder Brad Wilkerson.

Wilkerson has been a target of the M's for some time now as it has looked like they would need to replace Adam Jones in right field. If Adam remains on the club, Wilkerson is a good option off the bench and can play first base as well.
